Love is blind katanya….
I never thought I would ever write a blog…but here goes….my first post, hopefully not the last hehe :p

The world says that ‘love is blind’. It makes you want to do things beyond what you think you can do, creates a crazy rollercoaster ride in your life, and it sometimes makes a fool out of you. The world says, "I would do anything for love" as if you’d do anything without thinking…for love…?
But Love Himself has a 180 degree different point of view. "Kasih itu sabar, kasih itu murah hati; ia tidak cemburu. Ia tidak memegahkan diri dan tidak sombong. Ia tidak melakukan yang tidak sopan dan tidak mencari keuntungan diri sendiri. Ia tidak pemarah dan tidak menyimpan kesalahan orang lain. Ia tidak bersukacita karena ketidakadilan, tetapi karena kebenaran. Ia menutupi segala sesuatu; percaya segala sesuatu, mengharapkan segala sesuatu, sabar menanggung segala sesuatu" 1 Kor 13:4-7 . This doesn’t agree at all with what the world says about love. Christ sees Love as a sacrifice, self-giving act that you give willingly. Love is a decision –it has to be– because it surely is impossible to ‘deny’ ourselves without our full awareness in doing it; we can’t love blindly. See Jesus Who died on the Cross. Out of love, He gave Himself with full awareness of the suffering and pain of the Cross…to redeem the world. How I long to always give that same amazing love to others.
I learned not to love according to the ways of the world. I know now, that it doesn’t even worth a try. Without including Love Himself in our lives, all that’s left is loving in the darkness, in blindness, in foolishness… I believe in my God Who is a Healer, a Comforter, a Strong Tower, a Safe Refuge… I believe He has healed my blindness in seeing the Truth: True Love Himself.
